SaradRuthuvu, the autumn season signifies tender beauty and pleasant moonlight. The intensity of Sun’s heat lowers, and we experience a sense of comfort and ease.

As per the recommendations and direction from Vedic scriptures, the Sri PancharatraAgamas – we celebrate the grace of Mother during the first 10 days of such a beautiful pleasant season, the SaradRuthuvu. Therefore, these celebrations are called,  Sarannavaratri  Celebrations!

Being ignorant of a greater state of happiness, we end up travelling in the tides of sorrows and temporary pleasures. Mother is an epitome of Love and thus she supports us in recommending to God about uplifting us from this state. She blesses us with strength to overcome bad qualities and stay away wrong doings,  శ్రుణాతినిఖిలాన్దోషాన్శ్రూణాతిచగుణైర్జగతు

Whatever God possesses, HE is happy to give us all that. But, when he considers us unfit because of all the wrong doings, Mother Maha Lakshmi says to him,   కిమేతాన్నిర్దొషహకఇహజగతితిత్వముచితైహి? which means, ‘Show me one person who did not do anything wrong at all?’

KulasekharaAlwar says,   శెవ్యైస్వస్యపదస్యదతరిసురే’. Just say ‘I am yours’ and he is more than happy to give you the permanent abode of blissful state.

Maha Lakshmi is the satvik form of mother unlike several other forms being worshipped in these days. We always follow the satvik path and therefore worship Maha Lakshmi in eight beautifully decorated forms such as ‘Veera Lakshmi, Dhanya Lakshmi, Dhairya Lakshmi, Rajya Lakshmi, Santhana Lakshmi, Vidya Lakshmi, Gaja Lakshmi, Adi/Maha Lakshmi’

DivyaSaketham celebrates the 10 days events with utmost devotion.
